Ringing in the Who Year
In preparation for the BBC America premiere of the new season of Dr. Who (9pm EST, Saturday, April 23rd), I have been doing what many Whovians over the age of twenty-one have been doing: scouring the internet for an awesome drinking game to play as we celebrate the return of everyone’s favorite floppy haired, bow-tied Gallifreyan.

This is not a story about the new Dr. Horrible Book that came out yesterday and that reveals such tantalizing tidbits as the fact that the costume designer did not realize that Bad Horse was an actual horse and so designed a samurai costume for him. This is instead a story of Bad Horse… the pizza parlor.
Whose Universe?
One pet peeve of mine is the tendency of the world to infantilize, marginalize and denigrate women by calling them ‘girls.’ So, it was initially surprising and actually a bit upsetting to me that this new movement of geek ladies were self-selecting the moniker ‘girls.’
